Amtech Named to Fortune Small Business List of 100 Fastest Growing Small Public Companies in America
TEMPE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Amtech Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: ASYS), a global supplier of production and automation systems and related supplies for the manufacture of solar cells, has been added to Fortune Small Business magazine's ninth annual list of the 100 fastest-growing small public companies in America, ranking 87th on the list.
J.S. Whang, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Amtech, commented, "We are pleased to be recognized by Fortune as one of America's fastest-growing small public companies. We continue to execute our solar growth strategy of expanding the markets we serve by developing a "technology turnkey" product group consisting of the five main processing steps in the front-end manufacturing of c-Si solar cells, which contribute significantly to a cell's efficiency. We have built a strong and operationally efficient organization, and will soon introduce our third solar product to provide three continuous sequential process steps in the manufacturing of solar cells. We believe we are well positioned for continued success in capitalizing on the growth opportunities ahead as a multi-technology product supplier to the solar industry."
The FSB 100 ranking of the fastest-growing small public companies in America includes U.S.-domiciled firms with annual revenues below $200 million and a stock price above $1, with company rankings based on revenue growth and stock performance over the past three years.
